Fundamental basketball training for players ages 8–12.

Building the Game from the Ground Up

Too many players move into competitive basketball without mastering the fundamentals. This leads to frustration and lack of confidence.

At GIB Training, we make sure every player learns the right skills at the right age—so they’re ready for travel teams, middle school, and beyond.

Master the Fundamentals at the Right Age

At GIB Training, we specialize in developing young athletes ages 8–12, the most important years for building a strong basketball foundation.

This is the stage where players should master the fundamentals—dribbling, passing, footwork, shooting, and game awareness. When these skills are taught correctly early on, athletes gain the confidence and ability to succeed as the game becomes more competitive.

Our training focuses on:

  • Proper fundamentals
  • Skill progression
  • Confidence building
  • Basketball IQ
  • Positive work habits

Players who develop these skills early don’t struggle with the basics later. Instead, they stand out as confident, well-rounded athletes ready for middle school, travel, and competitive teams.

Who This Training Is For?

GIB Training is designed specifically for players ages 8–12 who are:

  • New to basketball and need strong fundamentals
  • Already playing but want more confidence and skill
  • Preparing for travel teams or middle school basketball
  • Struggling with basic skills like dribbling, passing, or shooting

Our goal is to make sure every player builds the right habits early, so they grow into confident, skilled athletes as the game becomes more competitive.
